I’ll walk with you through the consultation process and help you uncover what it is you really want. After our meeting I will produce a sketch or rough draft based on our conversation plus a time frame and price. Once I receive your approval you will be added to my list. You will receive updates and a photograph of the finished piece which will be emailed to you for your approval. Here are some frequently asked questions
Are you able to take on commissions? Absolutely! We would start with a conversation and I will explore your ideas, ask questions, make suggestions as inspiration come and of course take copious notes. You will find it fun and you may even discover more about your story. How long does it take? On average, pieces can take 3-4 months to create. Having a conversation with me and choosing a design gets you on the list. How much does it cost? Since each piece varies in size and complexity, there is no standard price. However, before I begin work, I will provide you with a rough draft based on our conversation along with a firm price and timeframe. A 50% deposit is required to begin work with the balance due upon completion. Is each piece one of a kind? Definitely! It’s your unique story! Since it’s your life, your family history, a favorite story from the scriptures, a concept that inspires you or your organization’s mission etc… no one else will come with the same brief as you. Through the consultation process we will work out a design, styles, some important symbols and choice of medium. It will be a one of a kind piece. As the saying goes… every snowflake is different. Why use symbols? Great question! Symbols gives depth to art. They put emotions and ideas in the picture and convey meaning beyond what you see on the surface. This can be a selection of colors, shapes, familiar icons from the past and present, nature or abstract…the possibilities are endless. The symbols both decorate and represent a concept that are imbued with a universal understanding.
