Cooperatives, in the hands of women, are powerful.
Cooperatives reduce poverty and foster human development especially when they follow good principles and values.
Joining forces in small-scale cooperatives can provide women with the economic, social and political leverage they need.
Cooperatives increase women's economic opportunities by supporting efforts to help them generate and control their own incomes.
There is a major link between women's empowerment and the wealth and health of societies. It is crucial for humanity.
As women gain rights, families flourish, and so do societies.
Today the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints isĀ one of the largest women's organizations in the world. The organization's purpose continues to be to provide support for the temporal and spiritual needs of all women in the Church, as well as others who are in need founded in 1842 in Nauvoo, Illinois, United States.
If you want to lift up humanity, empower women.
