The Heart of the Harvest
Farmers need 5 things to succeed: good land, good seeds,
farming supplies, time, and know-how.
A woman in a developing country is kept so busy with a wide
range of duties including farming, leaving her with little or no
time to learn about improved seeds, best practices, and new
markets or having a voice in her household or village.
When her spouse hears and supports her, she begins to
produce higher yields of crops which feed her family and
benefit the community.
‘The Heart of the Harvest’ shows the villagers supporting her
with love and respect. As they recognise her value and hear
her voice, they LIFT the female farmer, empowering her to
nourish her family and give back to her community.
